Nigde Alaaddin Mosque

The mosque in Nigde is built in 1223 by orders of Sultan Aladdin Keykubat 1st of Seljuks. The architect of the oldest work in Nigde is Architect Siddik, Son of Mahmut. The eastern port decorated with geometrical motives has carvings and inscriptions with praises to its architect and Aladdin Keykubat. The mosque is also known as Ulu Mosque and has been restored in 1970.
